Meet the Bean Counters!
Jenny Clark is our Head Bean Counter. With more than 25 years of experience, Jenny is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has worked in public accounting and private industry, and is familiar with many types of businesses from plumbers to real estate and manufacturing to retail. Jenny has been certified in QuickBooks since 2000, and continues to expand her knowledge by attending workshops with the some of the brightest minds in the country.
Partner Dan Larsh
Dan Larsh, East Texas Bean Counter Partner, is a business owner, bookkeeper, and techie-guru. Dan is a self-starter who did just about everything himself for his businesses – bookkeeping, built his own computers and set-up his own network – you name it. When it comes to bookkeeping, he says he was trained by the best – Jenny Clark! Dan worked for Jenny as a bookkeeper after selling one of his businesses in 2012. He had his own bookkeeping business, and now he and Jenny have joined forces to provide East Texas with bookkeeping services covering the full gamut. Dan holds a Quickbooks™ Pro Advisor certification. He is often setting up Quickbooks and troubleshooting a client’s computer or network, while Jenny is expertly training the client in Quickbooks – it’s a great partnership of the MAS kind (Mutual Admiration Society.) Dan has been happily married for 36 years (he thinks his wife has been, too) and has two children, Chad and Amy. Amy also works for East Texas BeanCounters.

She discovered her penchant for the trade during her years as a manager/bookkeeper/buyer for a ladies’ boutique in Hot Springs, Virginia. Shavon holds a degree in Cross-Cultural Services and is currently working towards an accounting degree. She has been married for 23 years and has one daughter and a schnauzer, who is a bona-fide member of the family. Shavon was raised in Tyler and is glad to be back, close to family.
Full-time bookkeeper, Amy Larsh, garnered her bookkeeping knowledge and experience after graduating from Texas Tech, when she worked in banking as a teller and teller supervisor and as a bookkeeper for a doctor’s office. Some might say Amy has a natural-born talent for bookkeeping – she is the daughter of East Texas BeanCounters partner, Dan Larsh. It’s okay, Amy knows what it’s like to work for her dad – she worked for him during high school. Amy was raised in Tyler and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in early childhood education. She recently moved back to Tyler to be close to home. Amy has a yorkie-poo named Paisley, who she says is like her child. Amy earned her QuickBooks certification and is ready to help small businesses get the management information they need to run their businesses.
